18's or 20's Bullitt wheels
18's or 20's Bullitt wheels
Planing to get new wheels & tires for my 2005 V6 and really like the look of the bullitts. I'm currently undecided between 18" and 20" (not only cost-wise).
Any recommendations? Will the change from the stock 16's to a larger wheel / tire combo affect the speedometer significantly? Will the 20's cause any problems on the V6 (rubbing, etc.) (Sorry, but I'm a total aftermarket-tire-noob)...

Or you could always go 18s:

I would go with the 18's.
I used to have the 17's on my car (stock pirelli tires mounted on chrome bullitts from 99-04). Right after I got my Roush Bumper I started having problems with the bumper scraping on driveways (the Roush Bumper is about an inch closer to the ground then the stock bumper).
Called the shop that sold me the bumper and they suggested 20's, but once I started looking at that size wheel and tire I decided I didn't like the look so I went with 18's and I'm real happy with the choice I made.

Really depends on the look your going for. For example 18s on my car would look extremely wierd, the 20s looked right at home. I just wouldn't do blingy 20s, maybe some anthracite bullitts or black bullitts or something with color. If you want to fill up the huge wheel wells go with 20s, if you want that old hotrod look a set of 18s is gonna be your best bet since you can do the huge tire look.
That's exactly what I was going to do, fill up those huge wheel wells... The standard 16 just look too tiny in there... (that's the same diameter I used to have on my Mini Cooper...)

Where did you get them, American Muscle (formerly Mustang Tuning) ?
