I think what you are really afraid of is you'll be MUCH slower than your mouth. You know that after all your boasting about your setup that you very likely cannot back it up with hard numbers, so you are scared to try. You are a classic bench racer, all talk and no action. You could learn much from Rygen, he doesn't boast about what he will do "some day" he just goes out and does it.

I must have missed this post somehow.. As well as AnotherMustangMan post which seems to be a very reasonable attempt at being genuine.. LOL! Anyways..

In regards to getting to the track.. I guess over the internet its easy to discuss getting to the track and visualize how well you will or wont do.. In the real world, I have still have not been able to align my time and priorities to a point to which I am able to peel myself from my responsibilities and to make a 4.5-5 hour round trip to the nearest track... Couple that to the exhaustion of work and I just have not been able to pull it off..

I sure wish I lived alittle closer. However I am content to get there when the opportunity presents itself.. I am sure Rygen understands where I am coming from..

At any rate, you can view me as being full of BS if you choose to.. Punishment for not having the time in reality to make it to the track.. Sounds fair..

4.5-5 hours? How slow do you drive(we all know u dont drive slow). I could get to the redding dragstrip from fremont in just under 3 hours. Im pretty sure i could even get to sears point in 5 hours.

Took me 2.5 hours to get to FFW Richmond, I think the drive to Norwalk for me will be 9 hours. My local tracks are all just over an hour away, with the best one being 1.5 to 1.7 hours away depending on day/traffic.

LOL!! I'm going to get to the track Scrming.. Please dont drag me out into the streets and beat me again.. LOL!!

I am thinking about the video and pics right now.. Let me just finish up my last mod which is my cowl hood.. Check out V6P..

I settled on the 2.87in pulley.. It sure has proven its worth against a mean sounding Dakota R/T 360 Mopar.. He was not stock.. The 2.87 was able to pull on him in 4th gear.. This Dakota sounded really badass on the freeway.. I am really shocked actually at how my car had enough ***** to pull it off.. LOL!

Check out my new thread about the hood scoop.. I had plans to get one identicle to yours but decided to go my own route..

Well this being my first real track season, all I can say is once you go, you will get hooked. After that, you begin planning your life accordingly. LOL. Surprisingly, there are plenty of kids, babies, grandparents, etc at the track.

Thanks Rygen.. Hey man, here is a stock Dakota drag time..

The car is 3700lbs and 360HP bone stock..

http://www.dragtimes.com/Dodge-Dakot...slip-8548.html

These are good cars for us to race at the track.. Its actually a very nice package..

Here is the complete list of Dragtimes for the Dakota's.. They look to be really fun trucks!!

http://www.dragtimes.com/Dodge--Dakota-Drag-Racing.html

Anyways, I'm sorry to the guys that are pissed at my reluctance to go to the track.. I have just one more project to finish up.. The hard part is done, which is the engine.. I am finally happy with the power..

I sure hope you bring home a 12 from FFW Rygen..

Sorry but it is not 360HP... it is only 250HP!!!! And they are all automatics!!

From Dakota R/T club page:
The V8 Dodge 360 Magnum motor powers the R/T and has always produced 250 HP and 345 foot pounds of torque from the factory. In addition, the R/T was lowered an inch or so at the factory where they also added huge anti-sway bars both front and rear. Rims were 17â€x9†alloy in either silver painted or chrome finish and huge Goodyear RSA tires were standard equipment. All R/T’s came with 4-speed automatic transmissions. (http://www.dakotart.com/about.html)

Sorry but a 250HP, 4000 pound truck is not all the impressive of a kill.. even if he had a bunch of bolt-ons...

Also... I've search all the other specs... the most the R/Ts have ever had is 250HP...

I killed one of those with bolt ons (I wasn't sparying on that day) at the track early in the season. Guy was pissed that he got beat by a 6. LOL. They look and sound mean though. It was a close race though.

This guy was not stock.. He would have nailed you with the 3.25in pulley trust me.. It may come with 250HP stock.. But they mod them like crazy! This guy was not stock at all.. Its a 360 V8 Hemi! Are you trying to say people are not more mod crazy than we are?

Here we go again.. Try and down play a kill to make it worth less.. I promise you, he would have eaten you up with the 3.25 pulley Scrming..

We have the same car, so feel free to slap on the 2.87in pulley at any time.. You know how much power it makes, and this is also available to you.. I'm not claiming anything special.. Except to say this truck was not stock.. He was slammed in the weeds lower than my car.. LOL! His back tires were also bald, so I know he had been smoking GT's all over town, or else he would not have revved at me and got his cap peeled back! LOL!

In regards to the cowl hood.. Do you think I should get the 4 or 6 inch?

Do you think your 2003 Cobra could hang with this Dakota R/T! He seems to be pretty slow..????

Com on guys!! Stop playing games.. You know it was a good kill.. LOL!!

They all start out life at 250 HP.. Big deal!! Like we start at 210HP!

wow.. that's amazing powers of deduction!

Bald tires = smoking GTs

I had a guy at the gas station tell me that his stock F-150 could take me out of the hole because he "puts premium in the SOB". I laughed out loud..

so Premium Gas = beat blown V6 with 4.10s in the rear...

Hell... my car was not stock the 2nd day... just because your not stock does not automatically make you fast...

well, if it's a good kill then why are you posting in here on Rygen thread??? Go post it where it belongs...

The reason you thought it was a good kill is because you thought the R/T 360 was 360HP...

Well you better not lose.. I'm in Rygens corner, but your running a Vortech which means I'm stuck rooting for you.. LOL!!

However, Rygen can always claim he did it with 8.5psi of boost which makes it a really dangerous prospect for us in general..

However, he is giving up less RWHP because he is turbo'd.. Meaning he gets to use more created HP to the rear wheels than you, which makes him pretty competitive..

However, you have mastered the 60FT which makes you a dangerous prospect for Rygen... LOL!

My prediction is you get him out of the hole, and he never catches up..

@Rygen

For this particular race, I think you should have Mike Bowen send you the 9.5psi tune.. Your going to need the extra psi to catch Scrmings after his 1.8 60ft! Might be better to have mike send you a 10psi spring and tune.. 1.8 60ft means alot more at the other end of the track..
