It has grown on me too, but I will not change mine again anytime soon.

There is no denying that car looks great though.

Yeah I agree, it does grow on you. Not sure if it'll make 2005ers change though. The new grill isn't necessarily better, just different. I liked the option of being able to get both either via the Pony Package option or aftermarket GT kit. (I ended up ordering a 2006 with the package).

This is what made me decide:

id rather spend the money on a GT conversion, i think it looks better, just in my opinion. If the pony package didnt have that bar goin across it, i might lean that way.

I think I'll stick with the tougher looking GT fascia/grill (I'd rather drive a stallion than a pony)

I think I will hold out for a good center mount Fog Light.

Its ok looking but I dont care much for the bar going across and the fog lamps seem a little too small. Doesnt look terrible though. Just not good enought that I would change my 05.

I don't really care for the Pony Package grill. I'm waiting on Street Scenes to see what they're going to charge for the V6 grill conversion and then decide either that or the full GT frontend from Casco...

I've talked to Mike at casco a couple of times... It's best to call him and not email. It might be busy for awhile, just keep trying...

He is much easier to reach by phone. Very busy between his Mustang (and other) parts and his Xbox business.

I drove up on Monday to get some wheels and was given a tour of the warehouse-Wow! he has a lot of stuff!!! Great guy to deal with!

Yep, got my parts from Cascotech, and what the other guys said is correct, don't even bother trying to email him, telephone is the best way to reach him.

All I got to say is it doesn't look bad, but the 05 look is definitely "meaner". It looks like Ford tried to give it a little more "flair" (for lack of a better word). If they should improve on anything it should be the interior. I'm planning on using the cascotech upgrade myself. I think that will accomplish what I want more than anything.

OK I'll buck this trend. I ordered it already from Kevin and my performance white v6 will look pretty close to that (except for ghost gold stripes and 4.0 emblems instead of ponys)

I bought the car becasue I liked its retro styling. The new pony package grille adds to the retro styling so I am definitely considering it. It has grown on me alot since I first saw it.

I could maybe start to like the emblem/lights setup, but I'll never warm up to that huge and clunky looking hex mesh that would allow any insect up the the size of a sparrow) to embed itself in the radiator with not even a little protection. That and it's just plain Ug-O-Ly! :notnice:

To me it's not "retro" at all, it's like they reached back through time and pulled some parts off of a long lost build line. The retro look of the new Mustang is lost by putting that ....."stuff" in the clean grille of the 06. Ford is starting to over design the new Mustang, they got it "right" the first time at bat. Now they seem to think they need to pull more old design cues from the past. For what? I think they are blowing it, good thing it's only an option.
