Ok.. We'll I would like some verification. I have heard rumors that our v6's with the correct mods would smoke a cobra? How True is this rumor? And if it is true do you know what mods you need?
Thanks

What year Cobra are you referring to? Any Cobra between 03-04, would be a problem for basic mods.. Also, they would have to be bone stock.. With mild mods, 03-04 Cobras can get to 487RWHP... So we know thats gonna take some Forged and Dished pistons for one of those to even glance at us...

I really dont want to call attention to myself by discussing Cobra's.. LOL!! We gotta first take care of stock GT's.. A Cobra presents us with too many HP numbers we must acquire.. LOL!

Please dont discuss Cobra's.. Thats too much for the Mustang world to stomach.. They are barely starting to accept the fact that we are a serious threat to a stock GT.. LOL!!!

I assume you mean a stock cobra??!?!?! That would be the Powerhouse411 car that runs in the 11's using a single turbo.

Here is the info:

http://powerhouse411.com/catalog/index.php...&products_id=51

MSP and Belial are running super chargers, I think they are generating nubmers in the GT range, but can up the boost. I'm sure they will chime in.

Hope this helps.

I know it!!! But I can see you couldn't resist either!

There is a V6 in this months MMFF mag known as the Cobra killer, but that is a stroked 3.8 with a ton of modifications. I will see if I can dig it up.

You've been keeping your recent mods low profile, but it will be interesting to see what debates come up when you get your car back. LOL. Now after all this time and debates, your dream has come true and you have a blown V6 capable of dishing out punishment to the non-believers. I'm just waitin for it. LOL.

Figures you would bring on your weekend warrior. You hardly talk about your "other" car. I'm sure she's not stock knowing you!

LOL.

Needs some clutch work now, but it is pulling 1.8 60ft times with tire spin. Hopin to get that down to the 1.6's and some mid 10 second runs by the end of summer. Its going to be on the backburner for now, it had its time, now its the v6.
The cobra was just too cheap and too easy to modify

Right, you say that. Keep her in reserve, get your butt handed to you with the 6, come back with the cobra! I know how it is. A 10 second car, RIGHT!!!!! No ones gotten our six'es in the 10's...yet. Though I'm sure MSP will devote his life to that goal.

Well, your at 390HP @ the crank stock... I would just suggest you dont miss a gear...

You know, if we are talking about stock 03-04 Cobra's without a tune, then this is possible.. I mean 390HP @ the flywheel shouldnt be too much of a problem.. For me atleast...

I would have to first make sure your bone stock.. If you have done anything above stock, I'm shuttin it down.. So I guess the proper way to phrase the Thread would have been Bone Stock Cobra's...

the cobra was rated 390 @ the crank, but i personally saw one put down 391rwhp bone stock. thats what i call underrated lol. Got a buddy with a black 03. Full headers, exhaust, intake, chip, pulley. Still stock blower (no P&P) and he puts down 518rwhp.

Im sure a stroked and bored 4.0 (4.3) fully built will put down around 600rwhp if not more. Thats enough to take it deep into the 10s

Back to the original post. Yes a boosted v6 has a good chance of taking down any pre-03 unmodded cobra (less the 2000 Cobra R probably)
