Wanted to show my install so It may help anyone else.
To put the Purge where it should be you will need a 4ft 3AN hose.The two that the kit comes with is useless.

 

Guys, you're really going to have to stop all of these N20 threads or else its going to cost me ~$1000 and a mad girlfriend because she'll have to wait another month for that special ring. :angry:

Install looks nice, I'd go with the "show 'em what you got" route also.

 

Looks real good Mike, I have yet to do the purge, but I need to for sure. Just for my reference, how far would u estimate your nozzle if from the TB?

I bought the car before the ring and she hated the car with the passion. She only had to wait a month for me to cough up the 7 grand for the ring though so I don't know what she was unhappy about.

It was funny though, she actually finally admitted to me that she liked the car like 20 minutes before I proposed. When it was over with I said I gave it to her only because she said she liked the car.

So Mike you taking nostalgic photos of the car before you rip everything out to sell the car? You keeping it now?

 

Hey Mike. I hate to be "that guy", but why do you have the braided hose going over the top of you intake? It looks kinda sloppy to me?

Its ok i understand.I wanted to go under but I launch the car pretty hard and i did not want the hoses near the fan or serpentine belt.i felt having them swinging under could become a problem.Over you get a nice even sweep to the nossle.I mite try another way later.

 

First,make sur you get a 4ft #3AN hose to do the purge were i did it.The 2ft one that comes in the racers kit is not long enough.There is a ground bolt on the cowl area that will hold the solonoid bracket then just bend the hose to go on top of cowl seal.My nossle is back about 10 inches from TB.I will take more close photos for everyone.

I haven't gotten around to taking a pic yet but I mounted my purge solenoid right underneath the air filter... mounted it to the frame rail. I then bought some heavy braided polysomething house and ran it to the top of the grill... nice effect and I can still see it... so for me the 2 foot hose was fine...

nube question... what does the purge do?

 

It clears the line of air, (kind of like bleeding a brake line) that way you get a good shot of juice right from the get go... oh, and more importantly it makes the people the stands say "He's got nitrous"

 

These kinds of threads are going to cost me?

Just wondering. How much is it to refill a nitrous bottle? Also, on average how long does a bottle last?

I get mine nitrous for $2.50 a pound... with the 75HP shot I was getting 10 runs out of my 10 pound bottle... with the 100HP i'm getting 7 or 8... I'm putting a 2nd bottle in next week for those all day events... hehehehe...

 

I know this is a stupid reason but...

I could never buy a Zex kit....I would never allow any bright purple parts to ever touch my car....
