I would like to work more on the suspension than horsepower increases. This car is going to be a weekend driver and I live where there are a lot of curvey roads and switchbacks. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on Saleens kit?

I believe we will see a big difference with the '05 also. As soon as the rain stops again , I'll get one on her and we shall see! I can feel the flex on hard cornering.

The bottom line is...there is nothing worth discussing about Mustang suspensions until Ford wakes up, dumps this ridiculous solid live axle and gives our car a proper IRS.

That's a silly statement. There's "nothing worth discussing" about a live axle setup?!? How about spring rates, control arms, axle twist, swaybar sizes, panhard bar setups...

There is plenty worth discussing to get maximum performance out of a live axle setup. IRS is not the end-all, be-all of suspensions. There are a lot of advantages to a live axle setup, and not just cost. Go back a couple of years and look at the posts about what people wanted to see in the new Mustang. The two most common comments:

"It needs more power."

"It MUST have a live axle."
