How about one of these in an S197?

Would you call it a "Shelby Sherman"?

Shelby Sherman........... lol that's funny!

One thing's for sure- with that big monster up front, the car will probably handle like a tank.

funny thing is he could get that much hp out of a normal engine and be able to go for much longer drives..

i'd have to say he's got too much free time on his hands or a ****ed off wife who goes elsewhere for sex... or he just has a lot of money to waste.

But you're not getting that torque! 1050 Ft. Lbs!!

A DOHC Aluminum Motor built in the 40's!

Considering the absolutely horrible technology of those days, flat heads, ect. that is truly amazing. The hp is low for something that size but 1050 ft lbs of torque... well you just can't argue with that.

I'd rather see restored the Sherman itself with that engine in it.
It might make more sense, pounding around in the old spare lot with a Sherman, than rolling down the boulevard with that thing..

Maybe he can counter that weight with extra fuel tanks in the entire rear seating area and trunk. They can reuse and can call him a Bronson, he too will light the first time!

It probably weighs less than a Shelby 5.4, lol! Jokes aside, that is an exercise in excesses for sure.
