Of course I am already lurking for parts, and it seems that there are a lot of choices. X or Prochamber, no cats or cats, from headers or after cat!

Holy decisions batman!

Anyone have any input on these?

If you want a deep rumble, go with a Prochamber, if you like the higher pitched raspy exoticar sound go with an X.

Go no cats for more power(just a little more), more sound(louder=good), and they are cheaper.

Any gains you get from a mid-pipe will be similar wether you use an X pipe, or Prochamber.

BTW a Prochamber is really just a Hybrid style chamber/X pipe if you could see a cross-sectional view of the inside.

There really isnt that much of a difference between Pro's and X's. I'd say go for a bassani X pipe .

I have the ProChamber that's welded to the stock cats. I'd say the gains were little to none. I only did it as the first step in the exhaust mods I want to do. Not sure if this helps but figured I'd toss it out.

Little to no gains? =( When I get my 06, I was thinking of the Mac Pro Chamber + SLP Power Flo. Do you think that will yield any gains? This stuff isn't cheap, I can't justify $800 for just a nice sound, ya know?

Thanks for the opinion.

I have the Prochamber, along with their lg tubes and axle backs, and love it. I dynoed it after installing the lg tubes and Prochamber and it gained 20+ RWHP. I don't know what the Prochamber by itself will give you though. I have the catted version, and from my understanding the off road will yield another 5-6 ponies.

No cats will definately be alot louder.

As far as prochamber that uses the stock cats, I don't understand why anyone would do this, you will get little to no power increase from just replacing the stock H with a Prochamber. Any power gains that you see will be from replacing the STOCK cats, wether it is with HIGHFLOW cats, or O/R pipes. THAT is where the power increase is.

I don't mean to hurt anyones feelings, but IMO the SLP Power Flo uses horrible tips, they are the stock diameter at 2.5" but look smaller thanks to the fact that they are double wall. Save some money and go with SLP Loudmouths, or Flowmaster axle back. IF, however, you go with Loudmouths, they will be TOO loud for anything other than your stock midpipe with cats. If you go with the Flowmasters, then I would suggest an off road Prochamber.

Ahh, I see. So to get any power gains, I gotta get the Prochamber w/ the cats (to replace the stock cats). Will this allow me to pass emissions testing? I heard (literally, my friend told me) that in 2006, Texas will be a lot more strict with emissions testing. Any high flow cats will cause you to fail.

Also, about the SLP loudmouths...aren't they just for sound only? I'm looking for a mid pipe + axle back combo that produces the most power. Sound comes secondary, and to be honest, I'd kinda prefer a more quiet exhaust.

Thanks for the opinions.
