X-Pipe for the Bullitt

What would you guys recommend for my 08 Bullitt? I want to keep the stock muffler and tips. They sound great already. I would prefer something legal, so with cars. Any suggestions?

.... not legal, but I installed an offroad H-pipe with stock mufflers, sweet sound, no drone, love it.

I would highly recommend spending a little extra for the bassanni x-pipe with high flow cats. my friend has one and it sounds great and has a deep growl tone it which i think would sound amazing in combonatoin with the bullitt mufflers on your car. their is a chance that you may encounter a drone at 3k revs on freeway but for city you be well off. that particular x-pipe costs around $600 with cats.

Thank you so much for recommending this one. I'll have to check that one out specifically. I usually listen to my Blues music really loud when in the car, so, I doubt I'll hear much of the drone, haha.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money and want a good sound I would say Pypes X pipe with cats. Keeps it legal and has a good sound. I have a Pypes axle back and it fits great, looks great and sounds good. Pypes for the money is good quality from what I see.

I wanted the Pypes x pipe but I ended up getting a Magnaflow x pipe. It was cheaper because I bought it used.

Why do you want to change it?
The stock Bullitt H-pipe is part of what give the car the sound you like, not just the mufflers and tips.

If you want a high pitched buzzy exhaust at at throttle, install an X-pipe.

Uh, remember, the Modified H-Pipe we have Include the Cat's. Removing them will be an expensive chore!!!

Another vote here for Bassani, although Magnaflow is not bad either. I personally am a fan of Bassani. Here is a link to some more X-Pipes you might be interested in.

From what I have heard, X-pipes do have a little rasp, but overall sound awesome. I say get the bassani or magnflow x-pipes.

a little rasp? as I said, more like high pitched and buzzy at at throttle. Sounds terrible.

Is that while driving? I heard a few S197s with X-pipes at various car meets. Each one I heard had a nice tone. Yes, there was a slight hint of raspiness, but not that much.

Yes at throttle while driving. Idling or idling through a Cruise in or something they sound not so bad.
Get on them while driving and they sound worse than a Honda with a Fart can.
