Sorry toi start yeat another thread on this intake, but wanted everyone to be sure and see this.

This is from the WMS web page. Tested in 3rd gear, 50 to 100mph.
No other mods on test car.
Stock Intake WMS Intake Gains from WMS Intake
50 - 100mph: 12.34 seconds 50 - 100mph: 11.03 seconds 1.31 seconds faster
Intake Air Temp @ 50mph: 104° Intake Air Temp @ 50mph: 68° 36° colder intake temperature
Intake Air Temp @ 100mph: 84° Intake Air Temp @ 100mph: 66° 18° colder intake temperature
MAF voltage @ 100mph: 4.2V MAF voltage @ 100mph: 4.3V

The test shows a significant increase in power as the car accelerates from 50 - 100mph 1.3 seconds faster than stock. The increase in power needed to do this is of much debate and calculation, basic physics says about 10% but we won't try to quantify beyond that. The ram air clearly delivers a colder air intake charge to the engine, this drop in intake temperature alone will increase power (approximately 1hp for every 11° colder) because the engine is breathing denser air. You can also see the maf voltage increased by .1V so more air is flowing through the mass air meter.

James,

This WMS ram air box is meant to be used in conjunction with the WMS intake. The WMS intake will work as a stand alone with some performance gains but to really take advantage of the intake it'd be best to get the WMS intake with this ram air to complete the package. Brent/BRENSPEED I believe has a ram air on the way and will be testing it and coming up with a tune for it with the WMS intake.

I understand that. My question is, was that the difference between the stock intake vs the WMS with RamAir or the WMS w/o RamAir vs the WMS with RamAir

ah, my mistake, understood your question wrong. I believe it is the stock intake vs the WMS with RamAir.

I will ask Shannon to be 100% certain and report back.

Its stock vs WMS W/ the ram air and NO tune... Cant really dyno the ram air advantage so they did the acceleration test to show the advantage.
