Heck no, I’m just an eternal optimist who happened to get his WMS stuff from UPS today!

I'm hopeful that Brent will sell his tune for the WMS and X-2 separately from his kits.

I posed the question and he responded asking for a day to think about it but that was last week.

Thanks for the heads up. I used another add as a template when making the WMS add and that sentence did not get changed. It is now corrected.

He will sell you anything to make a buck. C&L and JLT continue to be the best ( tested) out there. Might as well face the facts.

They definitely have more R&D time put into tuning them

Sorry I have had little to no time to surf the forums. What update are you looking for? Remember you can always call me during normal business hours.

Sorry, I was under the impression you would retest with the WMS Tray installed. But I just read through this again.

GOFISCH . . . . was that a "no" as in no testing with the tray and no more tuning efforts then ?

Over the weekend Doug from Bamachips told me he is working on a tune for the WMS and will have it done very soon.

What is it you are after? I have a lot of miles on a ram air set up with our tune and the car runs awesome. I keep seeing posts about testing and what else are you doing. We have an optimized ram air tune already so I guess I am not sure what you are asking. Let me know thanks.

I thought we would get some new numbers with the tray installed. Then I reread and you said it probable wouldn't make any difference. I was looking for numbers with the tray installed. Thanks

No problem you need a pretty big boost of air to make the tray work. I would have to put the dyno in a wind tunnel.

Brent,

One member tried to dyno before he got the tray and was getting so much heat (inlet temp) from the engine compartment and fan wash that they aborted the tune attempt.

Some of us were hoping that the HP/TQ numbers would come up tuning with the tray installed as it would tend to isolate the filter from the heat.

I logged all my pulls and I did not get that type of heat or much heat at all that would make a big difference in power. I also had zero issues with fan wash. There are some HUGE fans on the dyno for cooling which also caused no fan wash issue. Most tuners have big fans on the dyno. Maybe his hood was closed on the dyno I dont know or maybe he was pulling with a super hot engine.

Sounds like that's the end of the (dyno measurable) story then, around a 20 rwhp/10 torque gain with the 80mm WMS and a tune.

Thanks for the clarification Brent!
