hi all,

What is the definitive result? Which CAI with heat shield provides more RWHP?

Thanks very much!

well i know the regular wms cai doesnt beat the jlt numbers, so I doubt throwing a differnt maf housing is going to make it jump up dramatically, jlt has the best numbers out of all of them. It just depends what you want, looks/performance etc. good luck

JLT True Cold Air Intake

Price: $150 - $225 (with JLT/DTP tune package; not tested)
Peak Horsepower: 288.9 (27.9hp gain)
Peak Torque: 303.5lb-ft (21.5-lb-ft gain)

Western Motorsports Cold Air

Price: $369 U.S./ $469 Canada
Peak Horsepower: 284.4 (23.4hp gain)
Peak Torque: 302.4 (20.4-lb-ft gain)

Heres the link to read about most of them if you want too.

thanks sodaman.

i find that interesting because of the design. you would think a direct CAI like the WMS would be best especially if you get a hood with front openings....

thanks again for the info!

Well those test were done with just there regular set up and hoods I believe. You may see more benefits with a direct intake hood, So only one way to find out. I really liked the look of the wms, but since it was so much more and had to cut wires to put it in I wanted to stay plugnplay. also the ram air effect may do some as well, but I think you need a special ram air hood to accomplish this properly I didnt really like the ram air piece they offer, If I were wms if they want to sell thousands and thousands of these I would be selling a custom hood for this option on there site. But its a **** nice unit. Good luck
