can you go 285 on a nine inch wide wheel??

theres another thread about this 285 tire right now, it will fit on a 9" wheel.

I have been running a 285 on a 9 in wheel for a while now...It's doing fine. My buddy is running a 295 on a 9 in wheel and is also doing fine.

Sweet - thanks guys - I'd like to go wider - prob is, I don;t want to drop down from 40s to 35s...... doesn't look there is much choice though...
