IMO the reputation that Flowmaster earned while the Fox bodied cars is what is carrying them onto the new cars; problem is, they don't sound like the older cars because the cars are just that different.

I would consider putting Flows on my '92, but not on the '06. Just my opinion.
WELL SAID TOM!!! I dont think I could have done a better job myself!! Just flat out perfect! I immediatly thought flows would have been perfect becuase of how AWESOME they were on my 04' but when I put them on my 05' GT they were not what I was looking for at all They were terribly quite IMO and rattled! Im looking for SLP's now!!

Well I sold my Flows and purchased Stingers. The Stingers droned too much so I re-purchased Flows. As I previously stated, they sound great... I only wished that they were a little louder.

I love my Flowmaster American Thunders! The sound is, In my opinion close to the sound of the old muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. They get rid of the higher pitch that the 5.0 and 4.6 tend to give off. I am now 50 years old and remember the distinct sounds those cars made.
They shouldn't rattle if installed correctly unless there is a weld defect inside or something like that. Mine never have rattled and I installed them myself in the driveway with hand tools.

I have some on my GT "06" and they sound great. Small amount of rattle which I'll take care of this weekend. This is my 2nd set the 1st being many years ago. Love them so far.

+1!! After a year of the drone, I got a great deal on some used Corsas. No drone, peaceful at cruise and wild at WOT! I wouldn't go back to the ATs on my 05, though I loved them on the early Mustangs.

(PS: I noticed the drone on the ATs at 1500 - 1700 rpm especially in top gear in my automatic car.)

I've been running a single Flow/AT for 15,000 miles and still love the sound. I welded mine in instead of the "stupidclamp" they sent with it. and so far no bad sounds, drone or rattles coming out of it. (it is a single, nothing to cause close harmonic hashing with) . Stainless tip is of very high quality....easily polishes..Still get lots of compliments on the sound quality, not just volume, as I drive by.

I love my Flows.

No rattles since I adjusted the Flowmaster provided clamps.

The Flows are the least expensive muffler for the 05 and up Stangs, which is why I went with them to begin with. Sure, there are better flowing and better sounding (louder) mufflers available but for the price, the Flows can't be beat. And if you change your mind later on, you're not throwing away that much coin.

I want to switch to SLPs myself but I am putting that off until I decide if I'll do long tube headers. I want to wait and see how the sound of the Flows change before getting the SLPs.

)with flows

Mine sound great. The drone is a real problem for automatics. I always have to switch the OD off around town. I bought them because they were the only black bodied mufflers and you really see the large rolled tips. They do sound good when you first start it up and when you accelerate. I would like to know more about the Corsas if they don't drone. (Escpecially in a vert, you really live with your muffler choice.)

I went through 2 sets due to rattling as well. I finally got a really good deal on some used loudmouths and sold my flows. The flows did not fit well under the cs rear bumper either, the mufflers are just too big. They did sound like crap with an off-road X but then so do the slp's.

I had them on my 86 and now again on my 06 and they sound great, no complaints here. I assume it's because they are a gateway muffler for some people. I hear people going on about how some muffler and exhaust combo's are too quiet where for most people they'd blow their brains out after having to drive with the same combo.

Mine sound great. The drone is a real problem for automatics. I always have to switch the OD off around town
I don't know if it's a REAL problem for automatics, I don't have any issue with drone, so the qualifying statement may be the drone is a real problem with me and my automatic.
