Why is my car not making power?
Well today we tried again to get my car to make the correct power numbers but it just won't budge. It made like 285/297 off the nitrous and 350/405 on a 100 shot with these mods:
NX Wet Kit - 100 shot
KB boost-a-pump (complete trash)
Autolite HT0 plugs
C&L race intake
Hooker LT headers
Hooker O/R x-pipe
Magnapacks
Centerforce clutch
Pro 5.0 short throw shifter
BMR lowering springs
BMR lower control arms
BMR panhard rod
Thinking maybe the intake is too large mm for the power mods?

1) Your before/after numbers are from the same dyno, correct?
2) When you say "custom tuned by Doug"- did he actually tune the car on a dyno or did he just send you a tune for the mods you have?
3) Are you running a different tune when you run the nitrous? As in, do you run a tune for normal driving, and then change tunes when you want to spray?
It seems to me that the only way you would "lose" power by adding headers and o/r exhaust would be if the tune isn't right for those mods. Or, if your running one tune only for both n/a and spray, maybe it is pulling too much timing when you're running just n/a.
Also just curious- why do you think the KB BAP is "complete trash"???

2) I drive up to Birmingham to have Doug tune it in person. The new and the old tunes were both done by him.
3) Yes it's a different tune as in timing is pulled but all the a/f adjustment is done through fuel jets. Doug was also double checking everything on both tunes.
We determined the boost-a-pump was worthless while tuning for the nitrous. It did exactly the opposite of what it was supposed to do. Made it go way lean immediatly when it's turned on and we sprayed.
My two guesses were the intake might be too much and the dyno was just different. I meant to see what the close to stock 07 GT made yesterday but I left and I forgot about it and left.

according to my calculations you should be making around 310-320rwhp and you are failing short. I say return to stock and retune your car to stock. Then put evrything back on and retune unless your dyno guys want to try something.
