Some of you may already know of the famous Hurst Quarterstick, others may not. Here's a picture.
Anyways, I have been entertaining the idea for quite a long time now to get rid of that Automatic's shifter and switch it with something else even if I had to fork out hundreds of $$$ to have something fabricated.
Since Hurst has already released a nice replacement for the manual guys and gals I was going to inquire if they were willing to spare some love for the rest of us since the '05+ is such a hot car.
If I can work some magic and at least plant the idea into someone's head at Hurst how many people would be interested in such a shifter?
Otherwise Im going to look into a completely custom fabricated Pistol Grip that will fit nicely in the stock console.
Let me know and ask your friends!

I like the pistol grip but not so much in this car, rather have the T style. Best case scenario would be something very close to stock but out of billet or stainless with the little T that goes between your fingers for the lock and a discreet side OD disable button built into the handle. And no logos.

I'm with ya Cleveland, I've been wondering if the aftermarket was going to pick up on the auto's. So far no love for us.
I'm not exactly sure about a pistol grip, but a gated T-handle would really do it for me. Heck, even the stock shifter would be fine if it would lock into each gear instead sliding through them.
I would like to see ANYTHING!

I don't have an auto, but I'll pitch in my .02 anyway. Clevland, IMO that shifter would not be "mainstream" enough for Hurst to consider it for a specific application...they haven't in the past, although they did/do have the Original Q-stick (white ball, no pistol grip) application for some Camaros / Firebirds. I'm not sure they ever had an auto shifter for the Mustangs...unlike the Camaros, most of the GTs have had manual trans so I don't know if you'll ever see it...which would stink...I haved loved the ratchet style shifters I've had in the past...well, both were B&M Quicksilver. Good luck though!

The shifter may be ugly but it works for a stick! I have that very shifter without the 12V switch at the top (I have been looking for one for months now) and I love the way it feels and have been missing fewer gears. Even the automatic cars need something to change the look and feel of that factory shifter. Good luck finding it, I have been talking with Hurst about getting a handle with a switch in it which they already have a part number for and have made in the past but they have been putting me off for months with the same old saying "we should have it in stock in the next 30 days" line.
