Who has the most hp/tq on a stock block?

Just curious, but who has real high hp/tq numbers on a stock block? Doesn't matter which type of power adder. Just curious to how far some have pushed the stock block and for how long? Thanks and please try and keep the stupid comments out of here.

I have 470rwhp and 443ft/tq. Have had it for like 5 months now.

supposidly there are a couple nutjobs out there with just over 500rwhp on the stock bottom end. I've seen atleast one of em post on here so there are some out there getting away with it. BUT then again I'd feel very confident in saying there are WAY more out there that have tried that number or close, or higher, and had a rod snap and engine goodies go flying out of the block. I guess it's one of those lucky if you do and "I told ya so" if you don't situations.

I was running 500-550rwhp for 7-8 months. Not taking it easy either, lots of 140+ pulls. There have been dyno runs north of 700rwhp on the stock block.

498 rwhp & 452 rwtq since last December.....custom tuned with a safe A/F ratio. I may be living on the edge, but it's worth it to me!

450/450 with a Saleen blower here with no problems for about 7 months now. 469/413 with a Vortech setup for about 6 months before that.

The stock block is actually strong. Its just the rotating assembly you need to replace.

I say all you need is a forged rotating assembly and you are set.

Word. I should have read the title closer. That's what I was getting at. There are guys running 800-900rwhp on the stock block itself. It's the guts that can't take it.

+1 I've read articles that rated our 4.6 3V aluminum block to handling 700 HP+. Forged internals are a must at that rating. If you ever get a chance to see a stock rod you'll know why they need to be replaced. Along with the pistons and crank, bearings etc.

2005 Mustang GT. Stock Block and Internals. Vortec Supercharger. 150 shot NOS.

Supposedly 680 HP (564 RWHP). Saw this at a Ford show last summer. Guy was from IL. He was running the car like this for almost two years. He never "got on it" until after 85mph because he tried and it went sideways once.

One of the local stang guys has 532rwhp via a procharger on a stock engine. He has been running it for at least a year now (since I first seen it) and yes he beats on it. I personally fringe at the thought of it. My plan is to be around 450/450 at the wheels with a safe tune via some form of s/c. The tune is the important part. You can have 350rwhp with a bad tune (leans out) and go POP OR 500rwhp with a good tune and be okay....for a while at least. It's all in the tune and how daring you are...lol. I just don't have the funds to build a motor right now AND get an s/c.

So I plan on getting an s/c with higher capabilities and run low boost. Then later on down the road beef up the internals and then raise the boost.

I have heard of people going much higher than 550rwhp/tq on a stock motor but only god knows how long that lasted. When the 05's first came out I remember all the rumors flying around saying that "you can't run boost or make over 350rwhp without them popping". That was obviously not true.

To an extent, it's all in the tune.
