The system boast a massive aluminum air-to-water intercooler designed and built by Fluidyne that mounts inside the cast aluminum long runner Whipple intake manifold that’s topped off with the 2.3L Whipple Charger, the same as the revolutionary Ford GT. With 8psi of boost being forced through the intercooler, the stock engine produces nearly 475HP and over 500 pounds of torque!

Systems come complete with a high-flow cold-air intake system, aluminum intake manifold, air-to-water intercooler, large capacity water reservoir, high flow Bosch electric water pump, PCM reflash tool, air-bypass system and all the necessary hardware for a simple installation.

Yeah I would spend the money on a good rotating Assembly if I was going to spend almost 6 Gs for a supercharger

oh... what an idiot... he must have watched way too many action movies. doesn't he know cars don't explode the second they catch fire. how stupid. runs away and lets his car burn. then some guys arrive (too late) and use their fire extinguishers to spray the foam all over the interior instead of closing the door first. maaaan.

Wombert-I'm not too sure about your Member No: 666.

That corvette video is pretty funny. "I think I'll run away and just watch it burn!" The track crew was sure in a hurry.

It depends. If it is 475 at the flywheel, then it is about 400 to the wheels. That is the recommended "safe" limit for the stock internals of previous years if the tune is good. I'd guess that the Whipple tune is very good and safe.

Also, there has been some mention of the '05 GT internals being slightly beefier than previous years. Can't remember where I saw it, but someone tore the engine down and noted that the rods are slightly thicker at previous failure points, and there is some sort of stainless insert for the upper ring land (another failure point).

That said, once (if) my GT arrives, I won't be first in line.

Nice design, It looks like it might fit under the stock hood... Wipple does know how to make a nice SC...

It looks like it will be a bear to install and I doubt that stock internals can take the boost for long ( and still remain internal ). I would not buy it as I am nearly certian that the auto ( which I have ) could not handle that much hp and torque without significan modifications...

In my opinion ( yest I said opinion ) The Saleen still looks like the more tame and reliable unit for the 05 with stock internals. With the top ring of the piston so close to the top, I would be very leary of pushing it to 475hp. I think 450hp is pressing your luck on this engine...

Like I said, it look like a great design and if you add forged internals, you will have a first class set up....

Ultimately, no one knows what these motors will truely handle. It'll take time to see how much they handle.

They've had that page on their website for months. Last I've heard you still can't actually have one delivered yet.
