I was talking about the original warranty with the car, does it void it? or does whipple pick up the cost similar to what Roush and Saleen do?

Yes it will void the engine warranty, unless you find a mod friendly dealership that will work with you on things....

It will only void the warenty if they can prove the mod caused the failure....thats the law. It wouldnt be hard to prove if a rod was sticking out the side of it tho lol.

Is this the HO kit? Did you do anyother mods to the motor or is it just stock. 475RWHP is alot for the stock engine to handle right? What did the install set you back?

How much boost are you running?

Running 10lbs boost, this is the HO kit....

Stock motor.....

Whipple charges 1k for install, I have not seen the invoice yet, but I think it was 7500ish out the door.....

Nice!

Interesting. It looks like they used the '03/'04 Cobra intercooler coolant tank. I would be a little nervous with 10 psi, but I would trust their tune. Have fun with it and good luck!

I was in Salinas this past Wednesday, from Los Banos. Where does Whipple do installations?
I've got S/C envy... big time.

Fresno. I live about 5 miles from their HQ. I wish I had known this was going on. I would have taken a run over there. As far as warranty, Roush and Saleen only cover it at their recommended boost which is 4-5 psi. MM&FF dynoed a Whipple a few months ago. At 11 psi it crossed the magic 500 rwhp threshold. I had a 94 Supra with 522hp but the turbo didn't spool up till about 4200 rpm. I can't imagine what a Whippled Mustang would be like where the max torque kicks in 2000 rpm sooner and is totally linear.

Congrats Les, the blower looks awesome! WoW! 475whp, that's really pushin it on a stock engine. If I hear a loud boom coming from Salinas I'll know who it is, LOL Seriously, I can't wait to see it. John
