Whipple Results: Paul's 05 GT Whipple Numbers!

Paul's 05 GT came to us with a Whipple/Ford Racing calibration and put down 433.26RWHP & 414.65RWTQ. With a little bit of custom tuning, we were able to pul 480RWHP and 446RWTQ SAE Corrected on a 89-90 Degree Day! STD numbers were 490RWHP/455RWTQ!

Reference line is at 12.1AFR, we were reading after the cat. Highest point read 12.16, which should be down around 11.90 at the top point before the cat. The whipple tune was 12.50 at the highest point, which would be closer to 12.30 before the cat.

It was a gen1 system. He's had the PCM back a few times. I'll tell you what, the air fuels weren't THAT off for a mail order tune. 12.30 is pretty decent pre-cat. I'd still rather see 11.4-5 to be safe.

Great, Paul! I'm glad you're happy. I knew that setup had some un-used ponies laying around!

10PSI pulley, but I'm sure due to the heat and humidity, it was pushing about 8-9psi. so come colder weather, those numbers can increase.

Our new store is in the process of being built. That old one is actually being closed down tomorrow.

This new website's insane trying to build.

In the mean time, give me a call if you're looking!

Chris,

Thank you so much! I'm very impressed with what your company has to offer. Although a purchase of that size won't happen for maybe another year, I like what I see in the mean time.

Any idea on when the new site will be up? Are you taking the APD site down?

why not go with 8psi? or 10psi?

I've seen automatics run 8-10psi safely, its just a matter of the tuning expert doing your car. the FRPP whipple tunes are garbage. JDMs cars with saleen blowers are pushing 500+HP on auto's with 0 problems to this day. its all in the tuning.

I agree 100%... however, I am looking for something mild. Nothing too crazy, with the option to get crazy-er I will also be running the whipple on the boxed tune for a bit until I get the car tuned. I am also not in the business of busting input shafts!

You could do 5-7PSI with a pulley, and FRPP tune, and then throw the pulley that comes with the kit (10PSI) back on there with a custom tune when you're ready!
