Whats the trick to chirping tires in second?

TCS on or off, you should easlier be able to chirp in 2nd. It's very simple, rev and pop the cluch going from 1st the 2nd... same going from 2nd to 3rd. I never tried it going from 3rd to 4th
. It does feel un-natual, but it will definitely chirp.

Uh sorry. There's no way a sub 300rwhp with an automatic transmission brakes the tires loose going into 4th at over 100 mph. I don't care what you say, it's not happening.

Mine used to do it occasionally when I was N/A... but I had 4.10s, so the 3-4 shift happened at ~82mph.

How are you barking the tires into second with an auto? You power braking through the gears? Hell stock tune I cant get the wheels to spin without power braking. Does a tune really add that much power?

I've been hunting all over for some DRs for my 18x9 wheels. As we all know, I've limited myself big time with that size wheel. Have any suggestions? I want to keep my Mach1 styled wheels. Widening would give me the best options but I don't really want to deal with that.

It's not the power so much as it's the hard shifting. At WOT my car actually gets a little squirrely going into second. It does more than bark. Heck, it barked the tires at the track with drag radials from 1-2 and 2-3(not 3-4 with DRs, lol). This is with the 93 race tune.

Chirping the gears stock is not necessarilly the fastest way to shift but its pretty easy, just get into the gas hard before letting the clutch out again, like popping it in first only do it very quickly. If you short-stroke the clutch and speed shift it its more efficient and faster but you won't get a chirp. You can typically catch 2nd in any car from a hyundai accent to a focus to a mustang.
