What's Best For An Everday Driver??
Keeping in mind this is a manual, 3.90's. 4.10's would make it a rocket, however you may or may not get annoyed daily driving. Personal preference, I'd go 4.10's, but that's just if it was my car.
I liked my 4.10's a lot when I was N/A.
I still have them in the car but with the S/C 1st and 2nd gears are pretty useless even with 275/40 18's.
They're still in there since it's the proper ratio for the 1/4 mile since I go very often.

Do a forums search; there is plenty of information and opinions out there. I have 4.10s with the manual tranny- it turns about 2600rpm at 70-75 mph. My only regret is occasionally I wish I went with 4.30s, but a blower is in my plans to 4.10s is plenty.
Just had 4.30's installed and I love them !!! The rpm's run about 2750 at 75 mph in 5th gear . I used to drive down the freeway in 4th with the 3.55's because I loved the sound of the engine at 3000 rpm's and the passing power if i needed it.
I should clarify, in my post I wasn't counting the cost of the gears- just the labor and parts needed; add the amount of the gears to the prices I posted.
And about the mom & pop shop- they've installed three sets of gears for me: in my '92 GT, my '04 Mach 1 (sold), and my '06 and not a hint of whine, vibration, etc. They had never even seen a S197 before they saw mine- goes to show that alot of the problems associated with gear whine in these cars is still indicative of an improper install.
