What's The Average/Max HP #'s With The Mac O/R Prochamber
Hey guy's, just curious as to what the average/max HP numbers are good up to with the Mac O/R Prochamber ? some have posted as little as 5 over stock while other's have posted 8-10 HP gain...According to Brenspeed's dyno results ? The Pypes off road H-pipe had an 8 HP increase over the stock exhaust and was also curious if the Prochamber produces around either the same, less or more than the Pypes off road H

I know what you mean STD plus I couldn't see anyone starting out with an off road Prochamber before adding a CAI anyhow but if 5-8 HP is the best anyone can expect to get out of an off road Prochamber ? it seems that even at $379.00 is quite a huge chunk of change for those kind of results IMHO ![Dunno](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

Your right Rocky! but I'm also real interested in the exhaust note! I read a article months ago stating that a CAI and tuner got you the most HP for your money! but after that HP gains where attainable but started getting expensive! other than forced air induction and LT headers! each power gaining mod cost between $200 to $400 bucks and most net about 5 to 10 HP per mod! Its the old saying ( Speed costs money! how much do you want to spend!) ...........![Biggrinjester](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrinjester.gif)

Although I'm also interested in the exhaust note ! my main concern is reducing as much airflow restriction as possible and after talking everything over with Mike from Powerhouse Automotive ! I've decided it would be in my best interest to follow his recommendation by going with the Stainless Works Exhaust off road X-pipe that he can get for me at $280.00 which is nearly $100.00 less than the Mac O/R Prochamber at $379.00 and is also good for an additional 8-12 HP. in which overall should provide the best bang for the buck IMHO ![Dunno](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

Actually STD I never really noticed until you just brought it to my attention and here I've browsed over Brenspeed's website on so many countless occassions but yet still didn't notice lol. so I'll definitely have to find out from Mike over at Powerhouse if he'd recommend the MAC off road X-Pipe as an alternative over the SW as that $209.00 shipped price is looking really good although the SW is made from 304 grade Stainless Steel where if I'm not mistaken ? the MAC X-pipe is probably 409 grade Stainless but at that price, who cares just as long as it's Stainless...

I hear a MAC price-beat in the near future! ![Wink](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
If you want stainless O/R X go Bassani. I just know their fitment is ideal. We sell them for $319, I believe?

Would that $319.00 happen to be for the Bassani BAS-46052 ? and what's your price beat for the Mac off road X ?

$150.00 shipped for the Mac O/R X-pipe would sound just about right STD, especially for the 409 grade SS
Anyhow, I ran both the Mac and Bassani X-pipe scenarios as possible alternatives with Mike from Powerhouse Automotive and although the Bassani offers the Hybrid X chambered design over the traditional welded X cross design ? the pipe material itself is the lower grade 409 Stainless Steel, he then also pointed out that very little would be gained from a performance standpoint as well..Therefore it would be in my best interest to follow his recommendation and go with the Stainless Works O/R X-pipe which is the higher quality 304 Stainless Steel for $280.00 in which I seriously doubt if CR could beat that price

Anyway, I want to be positive, but I'm almost 100% sure I can beat the Stainless works price. However, I'm not the biggest fan of their product after a $1300 Trailblazer SS system had to be sent back twice before they got one that fit for us!

If you're referring to Bassani part # BAS-46052 ? I personally spoke with Sheldon from Bassani tech support who did confirm this is the same exact smooth flowing designed X that's found on the Shelby GT 500..However he also confirmed the pipe material itself is the lower grade 409 SS and not the higher grade 304 Stainless where on the other hand, the Stainless Works is the higher grade 304 SS which carries a lifetime warranty and is $40.00 less than the Bassani..And from my understanding ? only the BAS-46052 is designed for the 05-07 Mustang GT with 5spd. manual...

Hmmm... I will talk to Bassani tomorrow. They always prided themselves on the 304ss. Then again I haven't really dealt HEAVILY with them in the last year.... between 2004-2005 we did a TON of Bassani. Now we're just here and there with them. Let me confirm... I know it's a BX piece, but they used to claim to still use 304?

The BAS-46052 is the 409 grade Stainless and the BX-46052 is the composite steel version..In the meantime, let me know what price you can get for the Stainless Works o/r X
