I know I want flowmasters 40 series on my GT, I only had the flowmaster 80 series muffler on my Camaro and I thought they sounded great. I keep hearing people talking about a cat back system I and I just wanted to know what it all intells. I want something that can give me more hp and tor. Plus I want to stay with the stock size of exhaust pipe. Any ideas THANKS Kevin

I think all it means is the system installs aft of the cats.

Is it a bigger pipe after the cat with a cat bacl system? Then whats the point of a cat back system compared to a new muffler?

so far everyone installing the chambered mufflers haven't been seeing any dyno increase, but the flowthrough mufflers have seen a slight increase. I'm still looking forward to seeing the dyno numbers from a Bassani install with the x-pipes. As far as sound and hp/torque perspective I think the bassani's are going to be it. Definitly for the sound alone it would be worth it, but like you I'm also interested in the actual hp/torque increases.
