Nice car! Makes me miss my old 03 Black GT Vert a little.
My BFG G Force KDWS 255/50/R17's have worked great for me. 10,000 miles and very little tread wear! I expect to get 30k with these if the wear continues as is, but as the temps rise I feel that I wish for too much.
I will buy these tires again though. I like them a lot.

I've heard that the '06 GT will have an 18" wheel option with G-force tires. At least, the Ford Fleet web site lists the wheels.
Does anyone know if these wheels will be 9" or 9.5" wide?

I remember an earlier post 255-50-17 doesn't require a speedometer re-calibration.
you are correct 255-50-zr17 are a 1/2 a percent diameter change (smaller). 60mph your really doing 60.3, 100mph your really doing 100.5 mph.
765 rpms up to 769 rpms
however they fill up the wells nicely
heres a picture of them

[attachmentid=21638]I have the 17" Bullits on my '05 and I've always thought that any muscle looking Mustang like the late early 70 fastbacks looked great with RWL tires. So, in my never ending quest to find a RWL tire in 17" I came across this Goodyear: http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/goody...1_rwl_ci3_l.jpg
The closest size i get to your guys' 255/50/17 suggestion is 255/60/17. Stock of course is 235/55/17. Since it lies in between these numbers, how do you guys think the fit will be. Is it a go? I mean you can't beat the looks. On my 2003 V6 vert I had Goodyear Eagle#1 nascar RWL tires in 16" they looked great, but on this car they'd look even better.

Well, it's completely up to you. But that tire is a full 2" taller than the stock Pirelli's or any of the 255/50's which are right in the 27" range +/- a tenth of an inch.
It will sure fill up the wheelwell, but you'll have to calibrate the speedo because there will be a big discrepancy in actual vs indicated speed.
Also keep in mind, that these tires are not rated for the speeds your car is capable of producing. Manufacturer doesn't recommend anything under a V rated tire. These are S-rated tires. Ask yourself how often will you take your car above 100 mph, and that might tell you whether or not you want to go with an S-rated tire.

Hey thanks Slowjoe24...
Now how do I convince the wife to allow the supercharger? ... current plan is to keep showing her the latest Mustang monthly and get her drooling as bad as me over all the new parts listed in their 05 performance parts catalog!
