Hey all! Just got a new GT and was wondering what you all think I should put in it. Intake? Or should I go with exhaust? Anything else that would be good to get?

For performance - the intake. It's a bigger restriction on the motor than the exhaust.

For looks and sound - then the exhaust, if the stock exhaust isn't already enough for you.

On that note, from my experience, I'd go with an off road H-pipe before replacing the muffs. You can get away with that in FL since there's no e-checks.

Just my opinions.

1. SCT/XCAL II and JLT II CAI with Doug's tunes: www.bamachips.com

2. FRPP exhaust M-5230-5GT a.k.a Borla Stingers

Go ahead and do them both at the same time.

Mufflers don't add any power...if you're going to do an exhaust, get at least a mid-pipe, if not longtubes.

If I had to do it over again, I'd still buy what I've got, but gotten them in a different order.

(1) Intake/bamachips sct tune

(2) Slp loudmouths (or whatever exhaust you like best)

(3) Rims/tires. 18's look perfect on this car and 285's in the back make it look oh so good!

If your stuck in a smog regulated area like California and want to keep your car legal, you'll have to probably skip changing cats, headers, X or H pipe, and any power adder, including N2O (I think).

The XCAL is a tuner, basically a small hand-held computer that reprograms the computer in your car to increase performance. The JLT CAI is a Cold Air Intake (hence the CAI). It basically helps your car breathe better which also increases performance.
