What should I do?

When I bought my 07 GT it had a C&L Street CAI but no tuner came with it. I believe it has been tuned since it doesn't have the restrictor in the tube and doesn't throw a CEL. It runs fine and I only put 93 in it since I'm not sure what tune it is. From what I've researched I will have to take it back to Ford and have them flash it back to stock. So my question is, should I keep the C&L Street CAI and buy just a tuner or should I sell it and buy a JLT series 3 CAI and tuner combo? This is my first muscle car so I'm learning as I go. Thanks

I would think you would want the car back to stock, a clean slate. But, to do that, you need to take off the current cai and go back to stock tuning, if you had a tune to begin with. Maybe your car didn't have a tune with that cai? Any way to find out? To have Ford do that, you may run into huge problems and end up costing you big money.
I would do the JLT cai and a tune combo. Always run the octane that you are tuned for.
Good luck!

I've read up on the C&L street and it comes with the restrictor so you won't have to tune it but the restrictor has been removed. I've owned it for a month with no problems except a sludgy throttle body.

So, you have no tune for sure. Then you're all set.
Clean out the TB, replace the restrictor if need be and get the JLT with tune combo. Where are you getting the combo kit?

When I got the car it didn't have the restrictor or tuner with it. No CEL either that's why I believe I have a tune already since it didn't have a CEL when I bought it. I got it from a dealership and found the guy that owned it before me and he said the C&L was already on it. It threw a CEL for the TB and when I cleaned it everything cleared out. No CEL now.

If it has no restrictor then you have a tune of some kind in there. If it isn't throwing a lean code then yeah good chance you do.
