What Kind Of Gains Are These Mods Worth?
Just wondering if anyone had these mods and knows what kind of gains they are worth in the "real world" not claimed by the manufacturer?
1. Electric water pump
2. Under Drive Pulleys
3. Charge Motion Delete Plates
4. Long Tube Headers
I figure that with these mods, a cold air kit and a tuner it's about all you can get out of a non supercharged or nitrous GT without opening the engine and doing cams.

Gotta wait for the price on the DSs to come down. Yeah, I spent $1200 on LTs, but they netted 15-25 rwhp. The DS isn't going to come anywhere near that for a cost/hp comparison, especially when N/A. It's on my list, but just not for ~$700.

Not gonna argue with you there, that's why I haven't bought one yet, either. But they are worth some gains, and if you are willing to spend the money it will help your numbers and times.

Shhhh...I know that, stop reminding me!!! I'm almost out of performance mods to buy without getting into the engine which won't happen while I'm here. Sh*t, I'll run out of stuff to buy and will probably get one just 'cause I have to keep modding!!!

I was looking at the DS as an interim for more HP.
I have gone back and forth, well add a cam and tune from doug, but if I am going to mess with the cam, add a set of heads from FRPP or some other brand. Well, If I do that, it will run about 2K just for the parts and other labor. Why not go with NOS for the WOT times. Or save up some more for a SC, or drop in a crate motor?
Help, take my credit card away.

I thought that electric water pumps were a no-no for a street driven car? I know that the guy in wheatland, ca with the saleen s/c runs an electric water pump though. I can't remember now why I heard not to run an electric water pump though... anyone can help me out?

I have been running the Meziere electric pump for about 15 months and 10,000 miles on a daily driver with no issues. They really are fine for the street.

I thought about going with all the above mods as well, but just saved up and got the supercharger. I figured I would get a SC eventually, and the KB gets rid of the charge motion plates anyway, and I would have had to swap the stock crank pulley back on.
I'm waiting on the price of AL DS to come down a little as well.
An electric water pump can be used on a daily driver just fine, and it might at least get you off the interstate if the belt snaps, which is more likely to happen in a supercharged car since the belt has a lot more force on it. Just like any mechanical or electrical part it could fail. But their normal service life should be good for a 100,000 miles. Not to mention, it's really easy to pop it in while you're putting a SC in, since everything is taken off, drained, and out of the way.

I really can't say what the Meziere water pump gained by itself but here's a rundown of my times and mods since I'm not big on dyno numbers.
13.65 stock
13.25 with C&L Street Intake and Predator 93 Octane C&L Tune.
12.95 with 17" BFG Drag Radials
12.82 with Steeda U/D pulleys
12.69 with JBA Longtubes and Catted H-Pipe
12.46 with 4.10 gears.
The gains don't look too impressive for the longtube headers since they were installed on the last day of the season and the car was never retuned for any of the mods.
The car put down 308/308 on a mustang dyno with the above mods plus a Meziere water pump and a Fidanza aluminum flywheel.
With the installation of the Saleen S/C with JDM Stage II at 10 psi I knocked a full second off the 1/4 mile to a best of 11.427 @ 119.92 on 17" ET Streets and 275/40 18" front tires.
