Looking for lbs on all the 05 Mustang wheels.
OEM and custom , are they sweet and lite?
It seems if the wheel is under 24lbs it is considered to be a lite weight.

My 2 cents

just incase people out there dont know, be aware that heavy wheels make a seat of the pants difference in power and stoping

the BIG and sometimes ugly wheel/rims are very heavy (only some of the exotic expensive ones are lightweight)

the extra rolling inertia is huge on those big rims (the farther out the weight is from its axis/axle the harder it is to get started or stopped

yes, your car will be slower all things being equal with wheels that weigh more & are larger diameter

Are you asking for the weight of every aftermarket rim? That will be a huge list...

I think he's probably for stock weight. I posted this question a while back, and no one had answer for me. I would say what is weight of stock wheel. I weigh 290lbs, so I need to find way to drop about 80lbs from my mustang just so I can compete with most drivers.

I am looking for a comparison between the OEM wheels to only the popular aftermarket wheels.
This is to see if there is a performance gain with these 18,19&20in wheel and tire packages.
Finding the weight of these wheels ,except for Tire Rack, is not listed most of the time .

I was also wondering what the weight of the standard rims were. I really like the stock rims, but down the road may want to replace them.

But if you're going to get new rims, they should look good, as well as save some weight. just my .02.

I've searched and not found anything, anybody out there know? Or could anybody that has aftermarket rims weigh the stock ones?

I could weigh one, but it would include the weight of the tire as well.

holderca1, I would appreciate it, at least it would give a ball-park figure!

we could estimate the weight of tire + air, which I'm sure someone is smart enough to figure out : )

The norm is if the wheel is forged it would be lighter and stronger than a cast or pressure cast wheel. That = $$$.
I can't find info on Steeda's, OEM Cobra's/R or Saleen wheels.
What I'm looking for a set of track wheels.

http://www.fordracingparts.com

This site has all the wheels and specs for current FORD models.

Now who has the best looking , lightest after market wheels for the 05', that are under $300 each.
