What BS for a 325/50R15 Tire to fit???
What BS for a 325/50R15 Tire to fit???
I'm thining about ordering my Foose Nitrous wheels for the rear with a P325/50R15 size DR for track days. That way I can retain my brakes in the front and still have traction at the track. Plus I think a 15 inch wheels with tons of rubber will make the back end of my machine look sinister.
The question is what back spacing will my wheels need to make the P325/50R15 tires fit?

You do realize that you're extremely limited on your choice of 15" wheels, right? The rotor/caliper design, and the location of the swaybar and swaybar bracket causes interference with most 15" wheel options out there.
I only know of 3 viable wheel choices at the moment... order a set of Bogarts or Holeshots designed for the S197s (not cheap), or find a set of used Weld XPs. The XPs were discontinued, so you can't just order them. My XPs are 15x9, w/5.5" bs, and they stick out of the fenderwell slightly. They bolt right on and clear both the calipers and swaybar/bracket. But, you'll need at least 3" wheel studs, too.
I also know of a guy who managed to get a set of standard 15x10 Welds w/6.5" bs to work, but it required different rear rotors, and custom made caliper mounting brackets.

There are plenty of wheels made for the s-197 you can throw a set of drag slicks on that will clear the rotors.Another thing Don mentions is wheel weight, some of wheels made today are boat anchor quality, very heavy.
