What is the best CAI for the 2007 Mustang GT/CS?
I would like to know which CAI system system has the best performance for the best price? I am considering the BBK CAI because it is simple and requires no tune. I have the hood scoop, so I was also considering the shaker system so I could make the hood scoop functional. Also, with the many programers out, can you change "flashes" for different performance(i.e. torque, HP, octane)? Thanks.

Granatelli worth looking at.
You might check out the Granatelli CAI/MAS system. (see the other posts on this) Good package at a great price. It also requires no tune and the benefits will far outweigh BBK or K&N due to the fact that the MAS sensor works WITH the Hitachi system (the ones that did the computer setup on the mustang) and nobody else has gotten that down yet. Therefore it's not faking the computer like the others, it is just recalibrating it to match the new air flow which results in MORE HP.
I can't say anyting about the fuego tuner that comes from GMS but the computer itself is a much bigger bang for the buck that the others out there (more memory and such). Of course it all comes down to the tune and again, I can't say since I haven't done it yet.
No matter what Cai you would choose, you want to make sure you get the T-Body from GMS. It's a good value, looks great and does improve MPG (just a little but that's great now adays.

The most proven non-tune is the K&N CAI.
The Granatelli flows more air than the K&N and needs either their MAF sensor or a tune or both.
Hope that helps.

+1 for the Granatelli CAI. You don't need a tune, but you can always add one later for even more performance increases. Without the tune, the GMS CAI is usually showing 20-25rwhp increases, which is pretty good. I am very happy with mine on my 2007 GT Vert.

I'm going to throw AFE out there. My stage 2 does not require a tune but makes a night and day difference on both performance and sound. Plus I think it looks nice in the engine bay.

I have seen nothing that comes close to these without requiring a tune. Our parts make as much or more power then even the CAI that DO require a tune. PLUS we are teh only company that know of that includes teh MAF electronics - so if you talk about bang for the buck - Get your bucks ready cuz we got what you want - PERFORMANCE

I think if you have a manual GT then the Granatelli could be the way to go.
For the Auto trans I would get a JLT II or C&L with a tuner, because the tune alone makes the auto trans sweet, by changing the shift points it makes it feel like a performance car. the tuner does not have any affect on the manual trans.
If you plan to change the gears or tires a tuner would be a good investment.
For the record, I had a GMS Throttle Body, NOT WORTH THE MONEY THEY CAUSE TOO MANY PROBLEMS AND NO HP INCREASE.. Period. STAY FAR AWAY FROM ALL THROTTLE BODIES. Mine is a shinny 500.00 door stop.
