That's is pure that this guy would try something like that. Glad you guys called him out!

There is a guy on this forum that has a picture of my buddy car in his avatar but he isn't saying that it's his car or trying to sell anything. I just find it interesting that it isn't his car.

lmao!

Sorry...but that guy is so stupid, he's funny.

Then it seems like we have the exact same car!

Can't fault him for it though, it's a gorgeous combination! I had quite a few of my pictures posted online and assumed the Brenspeed took the pictures I sent them and used one of them for their s/c kit sale page.

That's totally messed up!

Thank god you knew about your buddy Tom, or someone would of gotten really ripped off.

Sorta makes you wonder if you can really trust most of these online sellers.

Could it be someone also known as VSOP?

Don't let a few bad apples ruin it for you - just keep your eyes open.

I was kinda taken back by it at first....... if the guy woulda said "no, its not mine but the system I'm selling is the same" or something to that effect then I woulda cut him some slack. But he OUTRIGHT LIED several times- about it being his car, about him doing the Brenspeed system, etc. that I just couldn't go without calling him out- what a schmuck.

What an azz (**** censoring!). I would never buy from a newb with such a low post count. Not that someone having a ton of posts would be foolproof, but it's likely they would be a bit more upstanding if they've been around a while. Nice catch.

Wow...scary.
I guess there are scammers everywhere. Glad he was called out. Will definitely make me a little more cautious when buying from someone on a message board.

If I remember right he emailed me that deal because he saw me on a couple sc threads. It's lucky I would prefer a twin screw and cant really do it right now anyways, I need a winter car before hand.

I think something similar might have happened to me. Where I work (Im outside) I park where I can see my baby all day. One day I had a couple guys looking at her, but I didn't give it a lot of thought until I looked again a couple minutes later. One of the guys was crouched in front of the fender with his thumbs up while his buddy was taking his picture. I can't even imagine he was going to tell somebody it was his. I told my sister this story and she started cracking up and said the guy was probably going to put it on his myspace page. Is this common or something? What do you guys think?
