Vortech install complete

Vortech install complete
Took me about 30 hours to complete the install, mainly due to the horrible instructions from vortech and a nagging wife . If anyone else attemps this install I found that paxton has the same instruction with the exception of the intercooler, and are actuall written logically!

Thanks, it was really important to me to do this myself! There were times that I though I had gotten in over my head, and it didn't help when my wife told me she didn't think I could put it back together. It was a huge rush when I turned the key and she started right up!! I recommend everyone does something like this at least once to say you did.
Drives like a completly different car, no more 300hp
Cheers

The hardest part of the install were the instructions, they really were crap. I ended up using the instructions from paxton, I didn't realize the two kits were identicle except on is water/air one is air/air. I could have done it in half the time if the instructions were written logically and complete. The biggest mistake I made was removing the wrong outlet from the coolant crossover Luckily one of the wipple guys took care of me and sent me his for shipping (now thats a nice guy)! Nothing was really difficult, it just took some time to sort it all out. I think I could install a non intercooled kit in a half of a day now.
For fuel I just went with a boost-a-pump for now, herd alot of band things about what vortech includes.

Works great with a Shaker. Search my recent posts for pics of custom Shaker.

When I did mine, it was a breeze. Had no problems with the guide either. I'm using the included pump, hasn't missed a beat! 485/430 I want to get the batt. relocate kit and ice tank and the upgraded intercooler Vortech has now

The pod is new autometer pod for out cars, it fit great!
As for the pump my kit spent a few years on the shelf and was a version 1 vortech kit (they sell 4 now), so it did not include the diablo MAFI or the piggy back pump. It was the original one that said to replace the factory pump with the provided walboro 255. I just skipped that step and order a MAFI and a boost-a-pump.
As for the instructions if you look at paxtons instructions you'll see the difference. It's little things like saying what size the space to use is, not just use a bolt and spacer like vortechs.
