Vortec supercharger on automatic 05 gt ?

Hey guys, I was looking at a sc kit for my 05 automatic gt, the car only has 22k has all the basic bolt ons but i'm just looking for more go so I figured the best thing I can do is a blower. Now I found the kit that i'm going to buy its a vortec v3 I believe 420hp/385tq my concern and questions for yous guys is will my auto trans be able to hold up to that power? Id hate to spend the 5gs and then have the trans go. Has anyone supercharged their auto 4.6 here ? any insight is appreciated

The transmission should hold up to 450 rwhp but that is not always the case. You can only put parts so big and beefy into these things so it will only get so strong. I'm on my third, and second built tranny. Next one is going to be a 4R70.

Can be done

I ran one of my cars with an auto and S/C @420 rwhp.
Not a problem, but of course it all depends on how often you run it really hard.
I didn't always like having an auto with that kind of HP.
I felt I had to be really careful not to hit the gas on corners for fear it would downshift and the rear would kick out on me.
I was running fairly wide sticky tires on it, but even so I felt I usually had to hold it in 2nd for comfort.
