Hey Guy's, I'm considering using the VOGTLAND Spring for my 2005 Mustang. They are sold on e-bay now for a good price. Anybody using these that could comment on the ride/quality/performance of these springs? Thanks for the help in advance!! Joe

 

I have them. They don't drop the ride as low as some of the others, but they are good springs. The ride wasn't too much different than stock. I couldn't tell a difference until I went on a winding road by my house. Then I was happy.

This is the only pic I can find, right now, that shows the ride height.

They advertise that these springs lower the car 35mm which is 1.37", so isn't that about the same or lower than the Eibach set lowers our cars? [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif[/img]

I have them on my Mach. I like them. Lowered, but not too low. I don't have any scrapping issues.

Here are some pictures of my car. Might help you get an idea of how low of a drop. I think the relation of drop is the same for '05+ Mustangs.

I just installed them on my rear only and it's hard to say if they handle that much different than stock...I already had the bmr lca's and the adjustable panhard bar which really gives great control while going around corners. They are good springs and I would recommend them as much as anybody would eibach & others. I think when you get to this quality, the difference among them all may just be the color of the springs (which I like the purple of the vogtlands). I will eventually put the springs on the front but not ready for the extra costs of the camber adjusters and wheel alignments needed.

Not from everyone... BMR install.

 

I hope they are good, mine arrive on Monday. Not sure if I'm gonna pay someone to install them or do it myself.

You can at least do the rear yourself. They are easier than changing the oil. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumb.gif[/img]

 

I have actually been waiting to hear opinions on these. My fear is the ride quality sucking. I have put non mainstream springs on a car in the past and absolutely hated the ride. Ripped them out and went with a more popular brand and the difference was night and day.

 

Some NASCAR Teams reportedley use these springs!! Can they be that bad?

 

These springs might be non-mainstream to mustang owners but they are very good products. You won't be disapointed if you decide to use them.

I have been selling the Vogtland springs for the S197 Mustang for over a year now, and I have had no complaints. I did have one customer that thought it should drop the car a little more...but hey, every Mustang does not weigh the same so the drop is not going to be the same for each instance.

I do use a set of Vogtland springs on my Focus and the ride is very good with out the harshness.

Vogtland springs are made to TUV standards..what is that you ask? Aftermarket parts sold in Germany have to be certified. Certificates are checked when the car is routinely inspected. You cannot run no-name parts and pass inspection there. It cuts down on parts of questionable quality, I sometimes wish that someone would look into some of the parts sold here! Since Vogtland springs have to be TUV ceritified to be sold in Germany, you are assured of a good quality product. You can read more about it on their website www.vogtland.com.
