Finished the driveability tuning and installed the MAFia. The tune is pig rich for safe operation until the dyno next Tuesday night with a trip to the track next Friday night. These videos are about 4-5 lbs of boost and less than 50% throttle. Wish you could feel it from my shoes. Virtually no lag, smooth linear power.

I'm just watching them again, and oh god. Its so sweet. How much did the kit run? or you got a link to a thread with more details? I am too lazy to search.

No problem, I have a thread on this forum but at times it is not accessible. Look for it by search of "05 Turbo Install" Here is the same thread on another forum.

I purchased for $4499.00 without injectors/MAF tube/MAFia/Tune/Instructions/Boost controller, basically it was a prototype kit and I did some extra work to it. You can get a pretty good setup complete for anywhere around 5K to 5500.

I am sure you have considered this, but what sort of stress does this put on the engine? I have seen a few (supercharged) engines that did not fare well. Is it simply a matter of a good tune?

We are looking for a block right now, to prepare for this inevitable event. Until we can upgrade to forged internals we will be running 9-10lbs of boost with a conservative tune. It isn't simple but a good tune helps.

wow, sounds and looks amazing. Makes me rethink going the supercharger rout and going with a turbo instead.

Holy macaroni. That has me reconsidering any significant mods other than a tune. Add Derek's engine to some of the others that have let go and it really seems that the weakness (of this engine) is obvious.

So what I take from all of this is to save my $ for mods and just build a solid engine from scratch - which is what most of these guys end up doing anyway.

Sorry to hear about Derek's loss...
