used spyder driveshaft

used spyder driveshaft

Ive been saving money to buy a spyder driveshat and hopefully soon ill get my hands on one. But yesterday someone offered me his used spyder drivshaft for a decent price.

I think i know the guy well enough to trust him. should i go for it?

I'd take it. Cheapest I've seen em for is $400-$450.

Why wouldn't you want the DS though, you could use it in any plan couldn't you? Whether you go FI, or stay NA, lower the car, or stay stock ride height. Not sure what plan he could change to that would require him to not have a 1 pc DS, unless iut was that he needed more money for other parts.

DS are built for specific transmissions. Number of splines on output shaft and length to rear end...

he may be switching to a 6 speed or to a trans with a "normal style" output shaft like a C4 4R70W etc. they don't require the slip joint style driveshaft but use a regular slip yoke plus they are all different lengths.
