Hey everyone,
I am going to be buying a forced air induction system. I am not looking to go over 10psi just yet. My car is an 09, and i have hot rod cams, underdrive pulleys, longtubes, 3:73 gears, hurst short throw, and a couple of other things i should buy. Now i was wondering what people thought would be the best bang for the buck. I will eventually go way up in boost once my car gets a little older, and i can do the bottem end, and forge/stroke everything. I just don't wanna do it on such a new car. So i need something that has potential enough to push around 15+....any opinions?

I have had a supercharger (Procharger P1SC at about 10lbs boost), then a 67mm turbo (~16lbs boost) and then a 76mm (22+ lbs boost) on this same car.

Relative to going turbo. If you have an auto or plan on converting to an auto, I'd consider going turbo. If not, I would go with a S/C. I've never liked the turbo lag that is felt in manual turbo cars. However, they work very well with auto trans cars.
Being that you plan on building a bottom end down the road, I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND you consider a system that will allow you to make the power you want when you are at a point when the bottom end is in. If you do not plan well, you will be replacing or upgrading your F/I system, and throwing money away when you want more power.
Personally, I run a Vortech YSi, and have well over 600whp, and I like it. I prefer power to be made relative to tire speed, as opposed to fighting the chassis and traction (It's already a handful as it is).
That said, if it were my nickel, I'd look seriously at a Paxton Novi 2200 with an air-to-air. You can run it at about 10psi for stock bottom end cars, and it will make as much power as anything else out there. However, when you are forged, you can easily make 600+whp with the 2200.

With this build (90% complete), swapped the 4r to the much lighter 2 speed powerglide (with scattershield). Had to fashion brackets and such and also a driveshaft with GM yolk. It's all back in the car with the new 302stroker (last one went boooom). As you know, takes big torque to get the glide going. The turbo should help. Also have shed over 300 lbs to help the glide at launch. Also shifted a lot of weight that was up front to mid or rear of vehicle.
Short times were consistent 1.4s with last build. There is some uncertainty with the glide. Looking for 10+ mph trap and knock off at least 1/2 second.

Sorry takes me so long to reply...stupid afghanistan internet. But my plan is going to be for a daily driver when i get back from here, for about 2 months or so. i have to tie up some loose ends and some debt and bullcrap...but im eventually going to leave it in the garage for sunny days and car shows. But i want it to be fast as heck so when im on the highway cruising and mister japcrap tuner boy comes up next to me i dust the heck out of him hahah. But mainly i just want a really nice amazing mustang that i could drive daily, but i wont

Yeah, i see what you are saying and i agree.....man there are so many choices...i guess honestly its going to come down to what i can get for around 5k in about 2 months lol. I like the idea of the centrifugal, but then i love the feel of the twin screw from a dead stop also...the good thing about the centrifugal is the fact that you w8ill save on gas mileage when your not hammering the gas, but i love the wine sound of the the twin screw...man o man what to do. Hey i was wondering is there like any gatherings or any decent car clubs in our area? i think it would be fun for a bunch of locals to get together and go for a cruise...or simply chill and bullsh*t. I heard people gather around pullyalup mall or something like that on fridays but im not sure

All the supercharger choices out there are good. So tough to decide which is right for your budget and performance goals. There are some good shops for installations around here and an awesome dyno shop in Maple Valley to get custom tuning done (Horsepower Ranch).
Twin turbo! Since twins will be smaller than one single large, the spool time will be less, and plus as mentioned above if you size a turbo properly, depending on what you want it for the lag will be minimal. The tune will also help with lag, if you're trying to avoid that. A single turbo will be cheaper, but twins are just always cool. I personally will go tt when I finally get the means to do so.
