I posted this on a few other threads and thought that some of you may be interested in the results of our Single Turbo Mustang Gt.

First is the dyno graph,

This is 11.5 psi, 104 octane unleaded race fuel.

At NMRA Finals st Bowling Green the car went 10.69@131.8, with a 1.51 60ft.

The motor, transmission and the clutch are stock with the only mods other than the single turbo are limited to an electric waterpump, the CMCV delete plates, 3.90 gear, Carriage House Engineering suspension and a custom SCT tune.
This Car is no skinny minny either, weighs #3590 as raced, retains all the leather seats, heat/air and stereo.

Mike,
How did the stock clutch and driveshaft survive a 10sec pass?

Glad to see the system is coming together, is it available yet? cost?

169Stang and I saw this car run at BG and OMG it clicked off a 10.74 and a 10.65 on the first qualifying day. Heat and humidity slowed it to upper tens the rest of the event. I would hate to have that kind of trouble "the air was poor so I am only running high tens." David and I are seriously considering this turbo system and wait with foaming mouths, I already have clearance from my wife to buy it if the pricing remains competitive with Procharger's system. Great job Mike!

ok.... so with all of the speculation that the top ring land would give under more pressure than 8 psi.... what's your take on this thing... do you think your engine will handle it for too long, or do you expect to have to build the bottom end?
great numbers, man.... good times.

I saw this car up there and all I have to say is BADAZZ! Definate sleeper. That car ran the 10.69 and a couple other passes in the upper 10's. No freakin rollcage with the stock manifolds. I had the opportunity to talk with the guys from Powerhouse for some time all weekend. Nice people! The system is awesome. It totally changed my mind away from Procharger. Very nice and clean install. Paint the intercooler black and you would never know the system was on the car.

Thats great man!! I have already promised Mike I'd be his first 05-V6 Stang patient.. LOL!! Hopefully his testing will be complete in Janurary, and we can get the units...

I love to give full details, so I'll enjoy watching all your testing and installation photos.. Being that you have a GT and I have a V6, we should be able to keep the forum full of excitement on both platforms!

Powerhouses goals are to try and build systems for somewhat stock components.. This is why he is doing so much R&D on the systems.. He will feed the cars what he feels would be safe, and send a Tune to keep the car within those settings.. If you tweak it beyond what he sets, thats on you..

Even with the V6 Stangs, Mike was the first person to show us all that the stock SOHC 4.0's were something special.. Alot of us wait for his results, to know what our limits are.. Needless to say, he has proven to alot of us that the 4.0's are no joke.. Like I said, I'm anxious to see the SOHC 4.0 he ran at Bowling Greens dyno numbers.. It was pushing 8.7psi on the single Turbo setup..

@169Stang

Did you watch the V6 Stang Mike had at the track make a run? If so, are there any thoughts you can share with us? Thanks.

No doubts at all! The car ran awesome. I forget what class he was in....wild street maybe. I saw both the V6 and V8 run and under both hoods. I obviously can't tell squat about the block and heads. Mike said they were still stock and I give him the benefit of the doubt. They both had stock manifolds. When they had the car running, you couldn't tell it had a turbo like a procharger car sounds at idle. It's a real sleeper which I like. When they both ran down the track, you hear a slight whistle. I have a video of the V8 running. I'll post them later.

Derek is right though, I'm foaming at the mouth about this mod. I was trying to get this system sooner than later, but it's looking like I'll have to wait. We talked with Mike and his crew for some time over the course of the weekend. Very knowledgeable and nice guys.

No problem... We can enjoy the 10sec GT video.. LOL! Hopefully he'll put up the dyno sheet later on the V6.. I am anxious to see the torque numbers... I am going to stay with a 7.5 axle, opting for the Ford Racing Trac-Loc, only because I found a good deal on a new one.. I'll put a girdle on it to keep the spiders honest..

If things do get ugly, I'll just have to get the Detroit Locker (True-Trac)..

I notice your running 4.56 gears 169Stang! This places your car at an engine rpm trap speed of 7478rpm @ 131mph... Assuming you run the same setup as Mike did on his test car..

Are you perhaps slightly over-gear for this setup?

yes. I will be changing the gears before hand. I will be getting a shortblock built first as well. I have to replace the shortblock anyways.
