Can anyone explain how to adjust the cooling fan settings using the diablosport predator? What settings should I use? What does ECT stand for? All info welcome. Thanks.

The manual ssays for better performance, drop all settings by 30.......

I dropped all mine by 25 this past weekend...... still roadtesting.... notice the fan comes on a heck of a lot quicker ... since these things run hot I can only imagine this helps a bit.......

Is that ECT or ETC? If it is ETC then that would be the Electronic Throttle Control.

I am not going to mess with my fan settings unless it makes the car run cooler.

The theory is that if you lower the fan settings, they will come on earlier and start to cool the car more quickly...

I have found that my fans come on pretty early as it is... maybe a new radiator is a better idea....

I think you need to go with a 160 temp thermostat as well to maximize the fans coming on earlier.

The Predator lets you avoid that - I adjusted mine as I said and can tell the fan comes on quicker now.

I would like consider a new radiator maybe down the line with how hot these things run - then again, someone on here installed a new X/H pipe with different cats (where all the darn heat seems to come from) and said his temp went WAY down.... that might be the best solution (and gain some horses while you are at it!)

Unless your car is overheating, you don't necessarily want to lower the coolant temps. The air intake temps are what you want as low as possible (hence CAI kits, and icing the intake at the track). The engine is actually more efficient (and makes more power) when operating at temps near 200/210 degress (not 100% on these numbers but they are probably close). You don't want to run a t-stat lower than 180 or you will keep the system from maintaing the necessary temps. In fact, many people have experienced overheating by putting a lower t-stat, since the t-stat is always open, the coolant is never kept in the radiator long enough to pull out any heat.
