Tuned By Bamachips - Getting P061b with limp mode
My computer: FBNF1G3
My Mods: FRPP Delete Plates, Steeda UDPs, Coast Driveline 4" DS, C&L racer, and 93 race/tq 87 perf tunes from Doug. I'm getting P061b usually when running hard through 1st and 2nd. I think I managed to make it happen once in 3rd. It seems like everytime I hit limp mode... I feel the car slightly bogging down then a quick burst of power and the nasty w(r)ench shows up. Sometimes it throws P061b and sometimes there is no code.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a couple of messages in to Doug but I know he's busy so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Found this on SCT's site...
Q: I just installed my CAI on my 2005 mustang gt and used an 87 octane tune from a dealer. I drove it around a bit and then got a CEL and the message center displayed FAILSAFE ENGINE MODE. I checked the SCT2 and got these codes. P061b, P2106.
A: You need to make sure they setup your tune for the cold air kit. If they didn't you will have problems with the CEL light and it going into failsafe mode
I think you need to talk to Doug. That P061B code is a wierd one. It doesn't show up on any OBD II Ford code lists. I can only find it referenced on 5.4L 3V truck TSB's.
