tune question

tune question

doing some research on a tune for my stang and heard somewhere tuning an engine other than factory tune will cause premature aging of an engine just bought a 30k car need the engine to last to at least 150k miles is this true or just a bunch of bull?

If you modify your engine, and don't tune it, then you will have problems.

+1 Dyno-tune it...get the A/F right, timing right, ensure no detonation...

Might even help the engine last longer as the tune could concievably run the engine more efficiently than stock.
