Question Tune question

IF you have retuned your computer, and you have added LT headers and 4.10 gears, can you still go back to stock tune??? if you re install the stock air box?

I am running a bama chip tune? anythoughts

From what I understand, exhaust mods don't trip the CEL. You can go back to the stock tune but your speedo will be off. If you just want to go back to the dealership for service you will be just fine.

When I bought my XCAL2 they told me there would have to be a retune if I added any headers. You should really call the tuners of you xcal to see if they can fix this.
@ jimp why would the speedo be off?

The speedo will be off because of the gears. You have to adjust for the gears through the tuner. You put the stock tune in and the speedo won't read correctly with the 4.10 gears.

2 questions,

1. I heard that changing gears causes a limp home mode?

2. I am using a bama chip tune on my xcal, but I kept my stock tune the xcal downloaded on the initial tune upgrade.

No, it doesn't cause a limp home mode. It only throws off the speedo! That's all!
