I didn't notice any "thrumming" at 70.
It is much more mechanical sounding than the stock shifter, but that only adds to the retro muscle car experience. But it is quiet unless I stir it up.
 did you put any grease on the brass bushings?
It turned out that the "Lower boot" was caught up in the shifter mechanism, that and the grease solved the noise. Thanks again B)

Could someone tell me what the length of the shifter stick is (the piece that bolts on to the shifter)? along with how much it's offset is?

I called Steeda and they were no help at all. "That's in a completly different building". Not a good first impression.
So I figured I would ask here.

The stick that they sent with my shifter is 6" long with about a 3/4 offset to it. The problem is it is an old SN-95 piece and is not correct. It's my understanding that Steeda is making up the correct pieces right now. I don't know if they missed it the first time or what. I simply used an SN-95 MGW ****......I like it and may stick with it. I put the offset towards the dash , it is back slightly from "Stock".

ZRX4ME refrenced an add in a Mustang mag stating the B&M shifter is standard equipment on the GT...true, but not the "Mustang" GT...The GT40. B&M does have a unit for the 05 Mustang GT that I think looks pretty good...anybody have one installed???

The B&M Ripper comes stock on the "New GT" (you know, the one that costs $200,000+) not the Mustang.

BTW, Steeda offers a Urethane bushing kit for the stock shifter...it should tighten things up and take out some of the slop. For those that don't want to spend $250 on a new shifter, the bushing kit is only $30.
Has anyone installed just these urethane bushings with the stock shifter? Is it a difficult install? Is it as involved as swapping the shifters, or are the bushings in a convenient location? Also, exactly what improvement have you all seen? Thanks!

Edit:
Here is the link to what I *think* is the right thing:
http://www.steeda.com/store/-catalog/555-7095.htm
It doesn't say anything about it being for the '05 though, so I'm a little unsure.

Edit2:
Before I get flamed, I have found some old posts about it. So if you have installed it recently and never posted about it, feel free to respond to me, but I think I've got the answers I was looking for. Thanks!
