TPMS
TPMS
Greetings TMS,
Sort of a strange request. I know that Ford started putting TPMS in 2007 but what I don't know is what year of production did they start. On paper my GT/CS is a 2007. However it was built June of 2006. Is it possible, and is there an easy way of learning whether or not I have the TPMS?
Just something I've been considering but can't find any real info on.
Thanks in advance,

Aside from putting on wheels without a TPMS sensor in it and see if your car give you a TPMS error, or opening your wheels to see if there is one, you can try to see if your car will go into TPMS learning mode after doing the required steps to put it in learning mode.
I have to do that every winter cause of my winter wheels. Just an idea.

it is common for the manufacture date to be as much as a year before the model year so don't let that confuse or bother you, they are two different things
I'm pretty sure they started in 2007 also, if you could find a brochure on line that would probably tell for sure, or you could try letting the air out of a tire and see if a warning pops up on the dash
EDIT: or check the owner's manual, there should be something in there about it

Never considered going into learning mode. Thanks for the info!

Does the warning light come on when you start to start the car, lamp check, like when you turn it "on" but before you go to "start"?
Well, does it?
