I went up to the Bassani factory this morning to get the two parts I needed to replace on my x pipe. Drivers down pipe and hiflow cat. Sheldon quoted me $189, but when he got there he charged me $118 because "it's Christmas and all". Very nice guy...even gave me a poster.

the best part was, I got to go in the back and check out the factory. I wasn't aloud to take pictures (I had my camera!) though. They had a yellow roadrunner (I thinK) there with the hood open. Had a huge engine in it...puts out 600hp they said.

The best was the redfire 05 there. The front bumper was off...and I noticed the intercooler right away. I asked Sheldon if we could look at it, and he said ya...but definitly no pictures. Popped the hood, and there was the meanest looking turbo I'v seen. They lifted the car up for me, and I got to see all the piping. He said they're working in conjunction with Elion (sp?) racing to design a turbo set up that will yield 500rwhp. very cool...

Also asked about the midlength headers. I got to ask one of the technicians, and he told me they are designing long tubes...not mid lengths. And that they are almost done and ready to ship back to a place in Detroit that does their testing. No word on estimated numbers or when they will be ready.

That's great to hear a company like that really taking care of a customer. You can tell they love what they do just by that experience.

he also said they are trying to make the LT's match up to the current xpipe and we will see the headers the first part of 06 (old news).

And ya, he did say Hellion (sounds like Hay-Lee-On). The turbo'd 05 they had sitting there was amazing. sory for no pics.

Well, it was new to me. I already have an X-Pipe, so I need a goal on what to save up for on the next mod.
