I don't think it made any difference in my mileage, but it did get rid of the annoying throttle lag, and maybe increased off idle throttle response. Eliminating the lag was all I bought it for. The cool whine sound was just a bonus.

My experience:

Jet TBS on an '05 auto, BIG difference in throttle lag.

Doug dyno'd my stick '05 with and without the spacer, no notable difference in hp or tq. So I took it off, snake oil, right? But I felt more thottle lag, so I put it back on, fixed it. So I took it back off to make sure, yep, throttle lag. So I put it back on, yep, fixed it. Heck, I didn't want it to work, there's no way it could work, I wanted to sell it on ebay and get some of my money back. But for some reason, it feels like it works.

My only problem with the spacer is it is a PAIN to get my C&L intake on with the spacer on. Im afraid im going to break recirculation tube. Anyone use both the spacer and the C&L intake?

I have the c&l and I haven't had the problems with the recirculation tube that other people have mentioned.

It's better to buy a filtration kit and make bio deisel than to just run on pure cooking oil.

My cousin is actually developing reactors for a railroad company in Ohio to make a bio-blend. If the U.S. started mandating blends for power generation, mass transit, and shipping we could signifigantly cut our dependance on oil.
