No, get snow tires. The stock BFG or Pirelli P-Zero nero M+S tires are useless in the snow. Everyone at work that has attempted it said their max speed was 15 MPH. When you have to drive 50 MPH in 6" of snow on the highway with a RWD V8 car in traffic, snow tires are a must.

So I figured out my problem. I just couldn't get any traction. I had to baby the peddle and really take it easy. It was the same as last winter. And the power just didn't really matter. So I went to Lowes and put 2 bags of sand in the trunk, and now I can get up and go. I can finally go from a dead stop to moving in a normal fashion in the snow now.

I was always afraid that someone would rear end me because they were ready to get going while, I was still trying to get some momentum going.
