tires that hook on the street

i have never tried any of the special tires being made for street cars that are supposed to give you better straight line traction.i have read about them so i may give them a try.my car is a 06 gt,auto, saleen sc,460 hp rear wheels.kick it in 1 or 2 just lights the tires up.do any of the tires help this at all or do they have to be heated up like drag radials?im wanting to kick it at under 35 mph and go ,not just light the tires.not worried about cornering ,rain, just want it took hook a little.i guess this is what everybody else wants also.

I run BFG Drag Radials during the summer months on the street. They hook awesome and I can get about 6,000 miles out of a pair, unless I'm frequenting the dragstrips a lot.

Suspension is just as important as tires. You can have the stickiest tires in the world, but if the suspension isn't up to par you're never going to hook.

What suspension work do you have? (And I don't mean just lowering springs). With the kind of power you're making you're going to need LCAs, adj UCA (if lowered), adj PHB, CC plates, and shocks/struts that match the setup. Bring it to a reputable suspension shop to get dialed in correctly and you'll solve a majority of your traction problems.

I'm only making 307/320 - and with my beefed up suspension I'll click off 1.6x 60' foot times all day.

As for tires, look into some drag radials for MT E/T streets.
