Timeslip analyzation plus vid - Need LCA's?

RT: .076 - .401
60ft: 2.299 - no info
330ft: 6.028 - 5.611
Time: 9.056 - 8.692
MPH: 82.72 - 79.03

I'm trapping more then 3.5mph faster then the other GT yet he is killing me off the launch. He has stock suspension while i am running lowering springs. He has 315 radial tires on 17" wheels while I have 275's on 18" wheels on nitto 555's set at 20lbs.

I just spun no matter how easy i launch. I actually break loose at the top of first and shifting into second i spin for a good bit as the video will show.

So I know power is not the issue, will LCA's help that much to drop my 60 ft?

Absolutely. I got a sub 2.0 60' with street tires, actually the 235 Pnero Zeros. I have LCAs and UCAs. LCAs are dirt cheap and easy to install. Do eet.

Your lowering springs are preventing good weight transfer at launch (the stock suspension is actually pretty decent at the dragstrip). Your Nitto 555's are not enough tire - you need a good drag radial. That other GT beat you in the first 60'. I bet his 60' time was in the 1.80's (definitely under 2.00) which shows just how important that launch really is.

Launching the car correctly takes practice, especially with a manual trans. You end up either slipping the clutch big time, or babying it out of the hole. Frankly, I gave up trying and bought a set of M&H drag radials. Now, I rev the car high 4k-5k rpm and just dump the clutch- the car hooks and books. Since I don't street race, learning to launch hard on street tires (275/40/18 Nitto 555s) wasn't a concern to me.

Do you need lca's. Depends can you feel the rear axle bouncing when you launch? If you don't have wheel hop than lca's wont do much. What you need are some m&h's, mt et streets, or nitto 555r's. A set of those will make the biggest difference on you launching ability.

If you have lowered the car, you would do well to get LCA lowering brackets, and the LCA near level. This will raise the rear suspension instant center and promote better weight transfer by reducing the rear end squat. Even with the stock set up, the LCA drops to the front, which is not ideal for getting weight good transfer on the launch (or even acceleration). Tires are another matter that even a correct LCA angle can't correct. You can also get the UCA chassis bracket which will raise the front of the UCA and also add to improving the rear suspension instant center.
